    Made Smarter Adoption is open to small and medium sized manufacturing and engineering businesses who have manufacturing premises in the North West, North East, West Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber.

    Made Smarter is supporting manufacturers with the adoption of Industrial Digital Technologies such as:

Localised adoption support
  • North East

    If you are a small or medium-sized manufacturer based in the North East, you can access: 

    • A one-to-one digital health check 
    • Digital transformation workshops 
    • Guidance from an industrial digital technology (IDT) specialist 
    • Support in identifying funding to help with the purchase of new technology and equipment 
    • Funding to develop a digital technology intern 
    • A leadership training programme.  

    The programme is delivered by the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (North East LEP) and Tees Valley Combined Authority. 

  • North West

    If you are a small or medium-sized manufacturer based in the North West, you can access: 

    • Impartial advice and guidance from digital technology specialists - Register for a fully-funded assessment
    • A digital transformation workshop and bespoke digital roadmap for your business 
    • Advice on how to ensure your people, culture and organisation are ready for digital transformation  
    • Match funded grants of up to £20K for the purchase of hardware and software  
    • Digital leadership development programme
    • A digital intern to help with your technology strategy or implementation.  

    The programme is delivered by The Growth Company in conjunction with Boost, the Business Growth Hub, Cumbria LEP and Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub and the Growth Platform. 

  • West Midlands

    If you are a small or medium-sized manufacturer in the West Midlands, you can access: 

    • Impartial advice and guidance from digital technology specialists  
    • A digital transformation workshop, diagnostic and action plan for your business 
    • Match funded grants of up to £20K for the purchase of hardware and software  
    • A digital intern to help with your technology strategy or implementation. 

    The programme is delivered by the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) Growth Hub, in-conjunction with the Growth Hubs in Greater Birmingham and Solihull, the Black Country, Worcestershire Business Central, The Marches, and Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
