Euroglaze Limited is a Barnsley-based manufacturer of high-quality uPVC windows and doors, supplying predominantly trade customers across the UK. Established in 1979, the business operates a highly configurable manufacturing environment producing a wide range of products including flush sash windows, coloured finishes, patio doors and specialist units.
The company combines advanced manufacturing equipment with bespoke internally developed systems covering production scheduling, stock control, barcoding, quality inspection and dispatch. As the business continues to scale, there is a growing focus on improving operational visibility and making better use of manufacturing data to support productivity and decision-making.
Internship Overview
We are offering a 12-week Digital Internship focused on transforming existing manufacturing and operational data into practical dashboard and analytics tools for use across the factory.
The business already captures significant volumes of production and stock data through barcode scanning and internal manufacturing systems. The project will focus on querying this data and developing visual dashboards that improve visibility of production flow, bottlenecks, stock movement and operational performance.

Commitment: Full time, 40 Hours per week
Rate of Pay – £12.71
This internship is a practical, hands-on project working closely with operational and IT teams within a live manufacturing environment.

Project Responsibilities
The internship will focus on two key project areas.
1. Operational Dashboard & Manufacturing Analytics (Primary Focus)
The primary project will focus on developing dashboards and analytics tools using existing production and barcode data captured across the factory.
Responsibilities will include:

Querying and extracting data from internal SQL databases.

Mapping and understanding existing manufacturing data structures.
-
Developing dashboards and visual reporting tools for operational use.

Supporting visibility of workflow, throughput and bottlenecks across the factory.
The dashboard project is expected to include:

Frames produced over selectable time periods.
-
Average time between scans.
-
Machine scans per day.
-
Average machine activity levels.
-
Frame progress through manufacturing stages.
-
Time between first and final production stages.
-
Analysis of frame types through production.
-
Identification of production bottlenecks and waiting time between stations.
Desired outcome:
Improved operational visibility and data-driven decision-making within the factory environment.
2. Stock Movement & Inventory Analytics (Secondary Focus Area – time permitting)
A secondary project area will focus on improving visibility of stock movement and inventory trends.
Responsibilities may include:

Analysing stock value and stock movement trends.

Reviewing inventory history across departments, suppliers and locations.

Supporting development of filterable reporting views over different time periods.

Identifying opportunities for improved stock visibility and reporting.

Better understanding of stock movement, inventory trends and operational planning.
