We hire equipment to support this activity across the United Kingdom. We are developing our digital capability to improve efficiency in both our project delivery and equipment hire operations. We are looking for a motivated University Intern to support us in building digital systems for stock control and exploring opportunities for design automation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital transformation in a construction and engineering context.
What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for a motivated University Intern to support us in building digital systems for stock control and exploring opportunities for design automation. · You will be supporting our operations and technical teams with:
§ Establishing a digital stock control and inventory management system.
§ Developing processes for pick lists and job preparation.
§ Assisting with data capture and system set-up for baseline stock tracking.
§ Mapping modular design components for future design automation.
§ Supporting the documentation of workflows and creating user-friendly guidance for staff.
· About you:
- Currently studying Computer Science, Digital Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong digital and IT skills, with interest in databases and system design.
- Good problem-solving ability and an eye for process improvement.
- Strong communication skills to explain digital solutions to non-technical staff.
- Interest in digital transformation and automation in a practical, applied context.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or databases.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools
- Experience with design systems or CAD tools is preferable but not mandatory.
