The internship aims to explore and scope software systems which will
improve operations, and potentially prototype a CRM.
The Goals:
- Reduce admin time through automation and centralisation of customer and order data.
- Improve internal access to customer and sales data across departments.
- Enhance the customer experience via streamlined communications and potential self-service access.
- Streamline production data flow to enable greater capacity and efficiency.
- Clarifying the respective features of Calwin and the proposed CRM system in managing order and customer processes.
- Preparing for future CNC machine integration by defining data flow and system handovers
What you’ll be working on:
- Map out customer and order flow processes.
- Engage staff to understand CRM pain points and required features.
- Document and prioritise requirements, with clear and structured process maps and plans.
- Build a web-based prototype or secure vendor demos and quotes.
- Present clear options and recommendations for implementation.

A specialist UK manufacturer of high-quality timber doors and windows in Warrington, is seeking to improve operational efficiency and customer engagement. This is by implementing software systems to manage customer and production data across different departments. This project supports the company’s broader goal of digital transformation, enabling better data flow, reduced manual workload, an enhanced customer experience, and enabling integration with future CRM systems and CNC machinery
Skills Required:
- Web development skills (e.g., Python/Flask or PHP/Laravel) or experience with no-code/low-code platforms.
- Experience evaluating digital tools or building user-friendly interfaces.
- Strong research and communication skills for vendor comparisons.
- Understanding of customer service or business process mapping (desirable)
