Digital Internship Opportunity: ERP Implementation & Automation

Help a growing biotech business roll out a brand-new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) as part of their digital transformation. You’ll play a hands-on role in improving how the business works behind the scenes – from data to dashboards and automation. 

What you’ll be working on:

  • Clean and prepare data to help migrate from an old system to the new one
  • Build Power BI dashboards and reports that help teams make smarter decisions
  • Automate repetitive tasks with Power Automate to save time and reduce errors
  • Design simple training guides and templates for everyday system users
  • Support staff during go-live, helping troubleshoot issues and improve processes
  • Explore how AI tools (like Copilot) could be used to add even more value  

What you’ll need:

  • Confidence with Excel and ideally some Power BI experience
  • An interest in digital tools and business processes
  • A problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills – you’ll be working with people from across the business
  • Bonus if you’ve heard of Dynamics 365 or Power Automate

The Client is a UK-based SME established in the early 1980s, operating in the biotech industry with approximately 30 employees. The company specialises in the manufacture and supply of essential scientific products and consumables to laboratories worldwide.

Skills required

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
  • Experience or interest in automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and inquisitive mindset.
