Digital Internship Opportunity: Digital Knowledge Base & E-Learning
Reference Number: 1588
Start Date: November/December 2025
Location: Greater Manchester

Help a UK Manufacturer Capture and Share Its Expertise.

A traditional British furniture maker is looking for a digitally-minded intern to help them create a modern knowledge base and e-learning platform. This is a hands-on project that will make a real difference to how the company trains staff, shares internal know-how, and rolls out its digital tools.

What you’ll do:

  • Talk to teams across production, sales, and customer service to understand how things are done
  • Research the best tools for building digital training (like SharePoint, Notion, or HubSpot)
  • Design and build a working prototype of a digital knowledge base
  • Create a test training module based on a real company process
  • Plan how this system can be rolled out and linked with existing digital tools (like their CRM and ERP)

You should have:

  • Strong research and communication skills
  • Experience using digital tools for learning or collaboration (e.g. Notion, LMS, SharePoint)
  • An interest in process mapping and turning expert knowledge into useful content
  • Some awareness of how digital systems connect (e.g. CRM/ERP integrations)

You’ll help preserve valuable knowledge from experienced staff and make training faster, smarter, and more consistent. It’s a vital step in this company’s digital transformation journey — and your work could shape how they train and grow their team for years to come.

Business Overview
The Client, based in Bolton, is a long-established British manufacturer of handcrafted Chesterfield-style sofas and chairs. With a strong heritage in traditional upholstery and craftsmanship, the business continues to evolve through a programme of digital modernisation — including investments in a new CRM system and a CGI/3D product visualisation platform. The next stage of their digital journey focuses on capturing and digitising the company’s extensive internal expertise to improve training, onboarding, and consistency across departments. This internship will scope, prototype, and plan the implementation of a digital knowledge base and e-learning platform that aligns with their CRM, ERP, and wider digital systems.

Skills required

  • Strong research and analytical ability
  • Familiarity with digital platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Notion, LMS tools, HubSpot).
  • Understanding of process mapping and documentation.
  • Communication skills to translate expert knowledge into structured learning.
  • Basic technical awareness of CRM and ERP integration
