Build a Digital Compliance System for a Fire Protection Firm.
Help a well-established fire safety company modernise its operations by creating a digital compliance system to track the activities that keep projects safe, efficient, and audit-ready in real time.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Map out how the team currently handles compliance and spot areas for improvement
  • Build digital checklists, validation tools, and smart dashboards to track compliance in real time
  • Test your tools on real projects and make them even better with user feedback
  • Create training guides so the team can use the system confidently
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to make your tools fit their needs

What you’ll need:

  • Some experience with digital tools like Airtable, Power BI, or workflow apps 
  • An interest in how standards like ISO 9001 work in real-world settings
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • A practical mindset and the confidence to work independently

The Oldham based Client is a long-established leader in the design, installation, and maintenance of bespoke fixed fire protection systems. With over four decades of experience, the company delivers high-quality solutions across commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors. As part of its continuous drive for operational excellence and adherence to industry standards, the company aims to digitise and streamline its compliance management processes. This internship supports the Client's strategic goals by developing a hands-on, role-based compliance system, embedding practical digital tools into SME operations.

Skills Required:

  • Software development or configuration skills
  • Experience with the following software tools would be useful but not essential. Sage (finance), CASH (Technical Service and Maintenance Software), AutoCAD and Revit (design and modelling), iAuditor/Safety Culture (health and safety), and an in-house CRM system
  • Understanding of digital workflow tools and dashboards
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 / LPCB principles is desirable
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
