Digital Internship Opportunity: Development of manufacturing processes to automate, optimise and streamline our systems

Duration: Flexible between 8-12 weeks
Location: Gateshead

Working within our existing MRP/ERP system (ODOO), to configure and update our processes for manufacturing to automate, optimise and streamline the system. 

What you’ll be working on:

  • We require a full set up of Project lifecycle management module, mobile workstation configuration, inventory management integration (data already available).
  • General optimisation of existing modules to include, workforce management, user management, workflow optimisation, project analytics, project tracking and task management.
  • Customisation using the inbuilt ‘studio facility’ for pre-configured document templates in relation to parts procurement and quality procedures.
  • Creating a centralised repository for technical documents and drawings with revision control.
  • Importing instruction sheets and SOP’s against specific tasks.
  • Our expectation is a 5-10% reduction in effort overall across our project and manufacturing services, when rolling out mobile workstations (tablets and mobile computers – estimated at present to be around 5 units total). 

Skills Required

  • Confidence in working with digital technology relevant to the internship project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A keen interest in process improvement and digital transformation.
