We offer a large variety of products from serial plates, asset labels and control panels that are found in industrial fields to Table Numbers and QR code discs for the leisure and hospitality and corporate awards to a large array of professionals. Overview: Gain hands-on experience delivering a real digital transformation project within a busy manufacturing business. You'll work closely with the team to understand current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and help design and implement an innovative software solution that supports the company's digital transformation goals. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical skills in a real-world environment while developing valuable experience in AI, software development, and business process improvement.

The deliverables may vary depending on project scope but will be shaped collaboratively between the intern, company mentor, and relevant programme support to ensure a meaningful and achievable outcome.

Job Description:

This internship is focused on developing and delivering a digital transformation within Brunel Engraving, we seek a motivated individual who is willing to work as part of a team and on their own.

This project will offer a hands – on experience to the candidate and opportunity to enhance their own academic learning in a business surrounding.

Brunel are looking to create a digital platform utilising AI that enables our in house design team to automatically read large amounts of content and extract the desired / important information into a quick and easy form for further processing.

A Further challenge will also be set, seeing if this extracted information can automatically create the artwork files Brunel needs to send for customer approval.

Main responsibilities

  • Analysis Brunel’s current workflow
  • Provide feedback to the team on potential improvements
  • Assisting in the planning and applying their knowledge of AI to execute the agreed digital transformation. These tasks will be tailored to the intern’s strengths and the business needs.

Salary: £13.45 per hour (Real Living Wage rate, whichever is higher)
