Overview: This internship will support the business to fully embed Rhino into day-to-day operations, improving design accuracy, reducing rework, and strengthening how products are visualised and presented to customers.

Job Description:
Project Goals and Objectives
The internship will focus on embedding digital design and visualisation into operations by:
- Improving design accuracy and reducing manual rework through better use of Rhino CAD/CAM.
- Shortening lead times from initial concept to approved customer design.
- Using 3D scanning data to create accurate digital templates for covers and upholstery.
- Producing 3D visualisations that support clearer customer communication and stronger digital marketing.
- Training and supporting staff to confidently use Rhino and 3D scanning equipment.
Scope of Work
The intern will work closely with the production and design team to:
- Review current design and fabrication workflows. Develop efficient methods to import 3D scan data into Rhino.
- Create accurate 2D and 3D design templates for standard and custom marine products.
- Build a digital design library of reusable models and components.
- Develop training materials and a practical workflow guide for staff.
- Produce sample 3D renderings and animations for use in marketing and customer presentations.
Tools & Technologies:
Rhino 3D (mandatory), 3D scanning hardware and software, digital rendering and visualisation tools, Microsoft Office and Canva (or equivalent) for documentation and presentation materials.
Skills Required
Essential:

Proven experience using Rhino 3D within a design or fabrication context

Confidence producing and modifying 2D and 3D models in Rhino

Understanding of how 3D scanning data can be used within CAD workflows
Desirable:

Experience producing visualisations or renders for customer-facing use

Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear documentation
