Job Description:
Fisher Research is implementing the BatchMaster ERP system to become the central platform for managing operational information across the business.
This software, which has already been partially implemented, aims to support the transition from several disconnected systems and manual processes towards a single, company-wide source of operational information.
The internship will support the introduction of this system by helping structure operational data, map business processes and support adoption across departments including manufacturing, laboratory operations, purchasing, stock control and commercial activities.
The role will involve working with employees throughout the business to understand current processes, improve information flows and support the successful implementation of a system that will become the foundation for future digital initiatives, reporting capabilities and operational improvements.
Intern tasks will include:
- Support implementation of the BatchMaster ERP system across the business.
- Gather and organise operational information relating to stock, suppliers, products, pricing and manufacturing processes.
- Assist with the collection, input and validation of data required for the BatchMaster ERP system, including product structures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), packaging information, manufacturing instructions and operational records.
- Work with employees to understand current workflows and document future processes.
- Create process maps and standard operating procedures to support system adoption.
- Support ERP testing and capture user feedback
- Assist with user training materials and documentation.
- Monitor project activities and track implementation progress.
Essential Skills:
- Studying towards a degree in Business Information Systems, Project Management, Manufacturing Systems or a related discipline.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
