About The Business: Vyse Arks Ltd is a growing Hampshire-based manufacturer of wooden animal housing and outdoor storage products, including chicken runs, duck houses, bespoke enclosures, log stores and parcel boxes. All products are made on-site, allowing us to create customised solutions for customers across the UK. As we continue to grow, we're investing in digital technology to improve stock control, production planning and order management. This internship offers the chance to support the development of a digital Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system, helping drive efficiency and improve decision-making.
Overview: You'll help develop a digital Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system to improve stock control, production planning and business efficiency. This will include organising product information, creating digital stock records and supporting inventory management. You'll work with business data, helping to clean, organise and import product, stock and materials information into company systems. You'll review current processes, identify improvements and help connect information across the office and workshop. You'll also analyse stock usage, create reports and dashboards, explore opportunities for automation, support system testing and documentation, and present recommendations for future digital improvements.

Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing:
Manufacturing Systems & MRP Development
- Help develop the foundations of a Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system.
- Support the creation and organisation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for products.
- Map raw materials and components to finished products.
- Help establish digital stock records and inventory controls.
Data & Systems Management
- Clean, organise and import product, stock and materials data into business systems.
- Review existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the creation of a single source of data shared across office and workshop operations.
Process Improvement & Analytics
- Analyse stock movement, material usage and operational workflows.
- Create reports and dashboards to improve business visibility.
- Help identify opportunities to automate purchasing and stock replenishment activities.
Digital Transformation Projects
- Investigate opportunities to integrate customer orders with production planning.
- Explore future integration opportunities with platforms such as Shopify.
- Produce recommendations and a roadmap for future digital improvements.
Documentation & User Support
- Create user guides and process documentation.
- Support system testing and user training.
- Present findings and recommendations to business owners.

Work pattern:
This role is hybrid, combining on-site working with remote working where appropriate.
