This internship will support our journey towards smarter, more connected manufacturing.
Overview: The intern will support the business in: - Mapping operational workflows across production andadministration. - Reviewing current data collection and reportingprocesses. - Assessing opportunities to maximise use of the DataplateMRP/CRM system. - Supporting digitisation of production job cards throughtablets. - Investigating production KPI display systems. - Developing solutions for real-time visibility of jobs inprogress. - Evaluating options for automated production scheduling. - Supporting production data analysis and reporting. - Identifying opportunities for knowledge capture and workforce resilience.
Desirable Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with Power BI, process mapping tools or manufacturing systems.
Job Description:
To support Hampshire Metal Coatings' digital transformation programme by analysing manufacturing processes, improving production data visibility and supporting the development of future digital manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct manufacturing process mapping.
- Analyse current production workflows.
- Review production data collection and reporting methods.
- Support implementation of digital job card processes.
- Review Dataplate system utilisation.
- Assist in developing KPI dashboards and reports.
- Research production scheduling software.
- Investigate integration opportunities with Dataplate.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digitisation.
- Produce recommendations and implementation roadmaps.
- Present findings to management.

- Interest in digital manufacturing and process improvement.
Desirable:
- Experience with Power BI, process mapping tools or manufacturing systems.
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts.
