Join Made Smarter and the team from PrintCity, Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) for the first North West Additive Manufacturing Forum event of the year.

The North West Additive Manufacturing Forum (NWAMF) is a regional cluster founded by the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) North West and its partners, with the aim of connecting manufacturers, engineering firms, technology developers, researchers and users of additive manufacturing (AM) technologies.

Following two successful and well-attended events at the AMRC last year, this will be the first of our quarterly events in 2026, giving attendees the opportunity to:

  • Network and connect with fellow members and stakeholders.
  • Receive an update and forward look from the NWAMF team, as we share our 12 month plan for the Forum and the progress made since the last event, including: A summary of current national and regional AM strategies, work done to develop an AM training index and an overview of upcoming AM funding calls.
  • Hear from Made Smarter on their funded SME adoption programme and its impact in the North West region so far.
  • Hear from PrintCity at MMU on how they engage with industry and businesses, as well as how they support education and research in Additive Manufacturing.

The event will include teas, coffees and pastries upon arrival, with lunch also provided at the end of the session.
