The Made Smarter Yorkshire & Humber Skills Training, delivered by Sheffield Hallam University, is fully funded through the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. This programme operates under the Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) framework. By participating, your business confirms that it has not exceeded the cumulative MFA threshold of £315,000 in government funding received over the past three years. Attendance at all scheduled sessions is mandatory. Failure to attend without prior notice or a valid reason may result in the recovery of associated costs by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority
South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) will treat non-personal data provided in this application as confidential where required, and will only share it with those directly involved in the Made Smarter Yorkshire & Humber programme (RTC North, Sheffield Hallam University, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority, Hull & East Yorkshire Combined Authority and Antao Greer Communications Limited) unless consent is given or if required by law. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Notice SYMCA (ICO registration number ZA0932329) is the “data controller” of the personal data that you provide and processes it to deliver the Made Smarter Yorkshire & Humber programme (and the other named parties are “joint controllers”). To support your participation in the programme, your data will be shared with partner organisations named above involved in delivering different workstreams of the programme. We may also share information if: 1. Legal required or requested by authorities (e.g. police, courts) 2. Needed for legal advice or proceedings 3. Necessary to protect vital interests (e.g. emergencies) Data will be retained for 7 years for audit purposes and then securely deleted. SYMCA processes this information under Article 6(1)9e) of the UK GDPR which states that processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller. Special category data will be processed under Article 9(2)(g) of the UK GDPR which states that processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest, and Schedule 1 of the Data Protection Act 2018: Condition 8 – Equality of opportunity of treatment. Under the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR, you have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict your data and to object to certain uses (e.g. marketing). You can withdraw from the scheme at any time, by contacting using the contact details below, but this does not affect prior lawful use.
