Barry Jones is a Digital Transformation Specialist within the Made Smarter West Midlands programme, supporting manufacturers across The Marches, including Herefordshire, Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin. He works with businesses to help them adopt digital technologies, improve productivity, and build the skills needed to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape.
Barry brings extensive experience from senior roles across engineering, manufacturing, and IT, having worked at management, general manager, and director level within major international organisations. His background includes expertise in applications engineering, research and development, and working across the EAME market.
He is passionate about helping SMEs overcome barriers to digital adoption, enabling them to access new technologies, develop their workforce, and drive innovation. Barry is motivated by supporting businesses to embrace Industry 4.0 and realise the long-term benefits of digital transformation for growth and resilience.
